Tax benefit

Your solar investment reduces both your electricity costs and your tax liability

For businesses in Mexico, a solar investment is 100% deductible in the same tax year (immediate deduction, Art. 34 of the Income Tax Law). Ask your accountant — or ask us.

The deduction applies this year, not next. If you install your system before the tax year closes, you deduct it on this year's tax return. Wait until January, and you're waiting twelve months for that benefit.

Frequently asked questions

Honest answers, before you ask

The panels we install are certified to withstand hail and strong winds (international testing includes hail impacts of ~25 mm at over 80 km/h), and the mounting structure is engineered for local wind conditions. For extraordinary hailstorms, your business or home insurance can usually cover the system — we help you get it added to your policy.

Equipment: manufacturer's warranty — panels: production warranties of up to 25–30 years; inverters: 8–10 years, depending on brand. Your proposal includes the exact warranties for each piece of equipment, by model.
Installation: ProEnergy's workmanship carries a lifetime warranty: if anything fails because of our installation, we fix it at no cost. Always.

Minimal. Panel cleaning two to four times per year — more frequently in dusty environments — plus a periodic inspection of connections and mounting structure. Maintenance can be self-managed or contracted through ProEnergy; the cost is a small fraction of the system's annual savings. Remote monitoring flags any performance anomaly automatically.

Yes — your system remains interconnected to the utility grid via a bidirectional meter. When generation exceeds consumption, surplus power flows to the grid and you receive credit; when demand exceeds generation (overnight, for example), you draw from the grid as usual. ProEnergy manages the entire interconnection process on your behalf.

On overcast days the system continues generating — typically at 10–60% of rated output depending on cloud density. At night, generation stops, but power is never interrupted: the facility draws from the utility grid, and net metering credits offset the difference with energy exported during daylight hours. For backup during outages, you'd add battery storage (BESS) — which we also engineer and install.

Yes. Solar systems are modular: panels can be added later. If you know your business will grow, tell us during the assessment — we'll design the inverter, structure and paperwork ready for growth, which saves you money on the expansion.
